In the blog Jaimi talks about how educators should be practising their lesson plans and units. I agree I think educators are now relying to much on the C2C and are not making their own lessons and units they just go by the template. I had a teacher in one course explain that the C2C was originally designed as a jumping off point for teachers to use as a guide or example and to do their own lessons from there based on their students. The C2C was just a ways to show new teachers how to set up lessons and use the curriculum in their classroom. Sadly this is not what they are used for they are used now as the be all and end all as Jaimi says. By using a generic lesson and unit designed by C2C it is not making the lessons relevant to your individual students and you are robbing the students and the educators of the chance to set up a learning environment for the students they have.
